да би Хиландар видели

и светој икони Тројеручици

се поклонили

и стопама Светог Саве

и Светог Симеона ходили

 

Да би хиландарске старце посетили 

који су били као из књига,

дугих брада

и аскетског лика,

Старац Никанор игуман,

Старац Агатон, сав молитвеном тиховању предан,

Старац Михаило 

- Дика пекар,

и Старац Димитрије кандиложигатељ,

код фреске Тројеручице 

Старац, а дете

 

Богослужење у Хиландару

као небеса отворена,

поготово Полијелеј 

кад се пева,

у цркви само свеће

- Божански примрак,

е овде треба бити 

студент - ђак

и благодаћу се божанском теологијом светлости учити,

не књигом, већ опитом,

зато је Света Гора

она која на брду стоји

- Атос Православља,

а Игуманија Свете Горе

- Пресвета Богородица 

је духовно руководи

ON THE HOLY MOUNTAIN

As theology students,
we went to the Holy Mountain
to see Hilandar
and bow before the sacred icon
of “The Three Hands”
and walk in the footsteps
of Saint Sava and Saint Simeon,

To visit the elders of Hilandar
who were like the ones in the books,
long beards and ascetic images,
Elder Nikanor the abbot,
Elder Agaton,
entirely committed to prayerful silence
Elder Mihailo – Dika the baker
and Elder Dimitrije the vigil lamp keeper
at the icon of “The Three Hands”,
Elder, yet a child.

Worship in Hilandar,
like open heavens,
especially when Polyeleos is sung
and only candles illuminate the church
- Divine darkness,
yes, this is the place
where student – disciple should be
and learn by grace
divine theology of light,
not from books, but by experience.
That is why the Holy Mountain
is the one standing on the hill
- the Athos of Orthodoxy,
and the Abbes of the Holy Mountain
- Holy Mother of God
being its spiritual guide.
